One Arctic archipelago has no visa requirements for anyone on Earth

A 1920 treaty gave Norway sovereignty over Svalbard, but with an unusual condition: citizens of every signatory nation get equal rights to live and work there, visa-free. In practice this means people from almost anywhere can move to the archipelago without a visa, though getting there still usually means flying through mainland Norway. Around 40 nationalities live in its main settlement, Longyearbyen.
