This plant has no chlorophyll, it feeds through stolen fungal threads

Ghost pipe (Monotropa uniflora) contains no chlorophyll and makes no food of its own. Instead it taps into mycorrhizal fungi in the genera Russula and Lactarius, siphoning off the sugars those fungi trade with nearby trees. It's effectively a parasite riding the same underground fungal network other plants use to cooperate.
