History
168 Spanish soldiers captured an Inca emperor commanding an army of thousands
At Cajamarca in 1532, Francisco Pizarro's small force ambushed Atahualpa's unarmed escort during a supposedly peaceful meeting, using cannon, cavalry and steel weapons the Inca had never encountered. They captured the emperor within minutes and later executed him after collecting a ransom room filled with gold and silver.
