Locke said your mind arrived completely blank

Against philosophers who claimed humans are born with innate ideas already in the mind, John Locke argued the mind starts as a blank slate, a tabula rasa, with nothing written on it. Every idea, he claimed without exception, comes from experience, through sensation or reflection. The claim became a founding argument of empiricism, and fueled centuries of nature-versus-nurture debate.
