Sudan has more ancient pyramids than Egypt

The Kingdom of Kush, centred in what is now Sudan, built over 200 pyramids for its royalty — more than twice as many as Egypt has. Kushite pharaohs even conquered and ruled Egypt itself as its 25th Dynasty around 750-650 BC, a chapter ancient Egyptian sources afterward tried hard to write out of the record.
