Male anglerfish fuse to females and share their blood forever
In several deep-sea anglerfish species, a tiny male bites onto a female and enzymes fuse their skin and blood vessels into one shared circulatory system. He then loses his eyes, fins, and most organs except his testes, living out his life as a permanent, parasitic sperm supply fed entirely by her bloodstream.
