This spider spins the toughest biological material ever measured
Darwin's bark spider builds orb webs across entire rivers and streams, some spanning more than 25 metres. Its silk is roughly twice as tough as any other spider silk known and outperforms Kevlar gram for gram, because tensile toughness combines both strength and stretch.
