A reef fish was filmed smashing clams against a rock like a hammer

An orange-dotted tuskfish was filmed digging a clam from the seabed, carrying it across the reef, and repeatedly flinging it against a chosen rock until the shell cracked open. It's one of the first documented cases of tool use in a fish, a behaviour once assumed to need the kind of brain only mammals and birds have.
