This plant can lose 95% of its water, curl up dry for years, then uncurl green again

Selaginella lepidophylla, nicknamed the resurrection plant, survives extreme drought by entering a dormant state in which it loses almost all its cellular water without dying, something most plants cannot do. Within hours of being rehydrated, its fronds unfurl and turn green again, and specimens have revived after years of dry storage.
