The only country in all four hemispheres

Kiribati's scattered atolls straddle both the Equator and the International Date Line, putting its territory in the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western hemispheres at once. It's the only single sovereign nation to do so — its roughly 800 square kilometres of land are spread across more than 3 million square kilometres of ocean.
