Kids who watched an adult punch a doll went and punched it themselves
In Albert Bandura's 1961 Bobo doll experiment, children who watched an adult attack an inflatable clown doll imitated the exact aggressive acts when later left alone with it, while children who saw no aggressive model rarely did. The study became a foundational demonstration that behaviour can be learned purely by observation, with no direct reward or punishment involved.
