Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 September 2026

Savvy is a mobile app that shows credited idea and puzzle cards. This policy describes what data the app handles. The short version: Savvy has no accounts and shows no ads, and collects no personal information unless you choose to give us your email address for the weekly email.

What we collect

The app sends anonymous engagement events to our server so we can improve the feed. Each event contains only:

Once a day, when you open Savvy, it also records a visit with the same random identifier, the date, how you arrived (directly, from a card link, or from a shared daily challenge), the name of the website you came from if you followed a link, and whether you opened Savvy from your home screen. We use this only to count how many people come back.

These events and visits contain no name, email address, phone number, account identifier, advertising ID, precise location, or device fingerprint, and we make no attempt to link them to you.

The weekly email (optional)

If you sign up for the weekly email, we store your email address, the date, and where you signed up (in the app or on the website). We use it only to send that email. We may use an email delivery service to send it, which processes your address on our behalf. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or email us to be removed and have your address deleted. Your address is never linked to the anonymous identifier above.

What stays on your device

Your chosen interests and your saved cards are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

What we don't do

Affiliate links

Some cards whose source is a book include a "Get the book" link to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Savvy earns from qualifying purchases made through these links. The links carry no information about you beyond what Amazon collects when you visit their site under their own privacy policy.

Where data is processed

Anonymous events, visits and email sign-ups are received and stored using Cloudflare infrastructure. Tapping "Go deeper" opens the cited source in your browser, which is then subject to that website's own policies.

Children

Savvy is suitable for general audiences. The weekly email is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their email addresses.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date.
