Samson's wedding riddle that no one could solve honestly

At his wedding feast, Samson bet 30 guests he had a riddle they couldn't solve in seven days: 'Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness.' Stumped, the guests pressured his new bride until she coaxed the answer out of him herself.

Reveal the answer

A lion and honey. Samson had earlier killed a lion with his bare hands, and when he passed its carcass again, he found bees had nested inside it and made honey there (Book of Judges, chapter 14). It's one of the oldest riddles recorded in Western literature.
