A philosopher argued bullshitting is worse than lying

A liar cares about the truth enough to hide it. Harry Frankfurt argued that a bullshitter is more dangerous: totally indifferent to whether what they say is true or false, focused only on the effect it has. His short essay turned a crude insult into a serious philosophical category.
